The Process
Before I buy my stock, I check to see if I can rescue it.
I manually clean, test and re-clean each product with hygienic materials.
I have a fancy machine that helps restore items that look worse-for-wear and make it look near-new.
If there’s markings or a light scratch but the item still plays 100%, then it’s acceptable. That’s my lowest threshold.
If there’s a scratch that affects the playout, then I recycle it.
If it doesn’t pass for my own personal collection, I know you won’t buy it either.

While I have years of experience working in Australian media – mainly radio – I have a passion for Australian entertainment in film, television and music / audio.
With the unfortunate decline in physical media and streaming services trying to control our viewing rights and wallets, I was seeing people complaining about “Hey, I can’t watch or listen to {insert movie / tv show / sound} anymore because they removed it from their service! I paid good money for it!” more and more. Plus it’s difficult to control subscription services. One day it will be on Stan, the next month it’ll be on Prime Video, then suddenly disappear for 6 months, then appear on Netflix, then completely vanish, altogether – especially when you’re half way through a series.
Lots of Australian content that has been released on VHS / DVD / Blu-Ray goes out of print pretty quickly. So I search various locations in person and online to find items that can be hard to find, clean them up to give a new lease in life, and re-release to the world for you to enjoy – or re-enjoy. That way you’re not relying on a shonky low quality YouTube video that’ll be hit by copyright by a third party provider as well.
